PRIVACY POLICY
David Sladden Consulting is covered by the 10 National Privacy Principles (NPP), as set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (amended by the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000). We recognise the importance of ensuring the privacy of your personal information that we collect. The purpose of this Policy is to ensure that any individual who provides information to David Sladden Consulting is protected according to the requirements of the Privacy Amendment Act (Private Sector) 2000. "Personal Information" means information relating to an individual, including an opinion (whether true or not), which may be provided by or to David Sladden Consulting as part of its recruitment and human resource services. Collection and Use of Information
David Sladden Consulting may collect information from individuals when they submit any information in connection with an application to us for a specific role or registration to our database. Information may also be collected when:
you attend an interview with one of our Consultants;
we receive any reference about you;
we receive performance feedback (whether positive or negative);
we receive a response from a position advertisement either written, verbal or e-mailed;
we receive the outcomes of a psychological assessment;
we receive results of inquiries that we might make of your former employers, work colleagues, professional associations or registration body.
When you attend for an interview with David Sladden Consulting you will be provided with a Collection Statement to read and sign. This statement will ensure that you are aware of the information that may be collected and the use of such information to assist you in obtaining career excellence.
You can visit our web site without the need to disclose any information about yourself. An e-mail may be forwarded to us via the e-mail link in our web site for registration and the information collected by David Sladden Consulting will be submitted to our database, unless you have specified that we do not do so.
How we use and disclose your Information?
We may use and disclose your personal information for the purposes it was collected, or for the purpose of providing you with one of our services.

Storage, Access and Retention of Information
All information collected by David Sladden Consulting will be retained as part of a electronic database as well as in hardcopy, both which will be securely monitored and maintained by us. This data will not be made available to a third party, unless authority has been provided from the individual.
David Sladden Consulting will make available for inspection all personal information, based on the information supplied by the individual that it holds in relation to an individual, provided reasonable notice is given. We will deal with your request to provide information within a reasonable time. We may seek payment for our costs of supplying you with this information.
In the event that any part of the information that the individual inspects is determined to be incorrect and requires alteration then David Sladden Consulting will make such alteration in compliance with the corrected advice provided by the individual.
David Sladden Consulting will take all reasonable steps to protect the security of the personal information that it holds. This includes appropriate measures to protect electronic materials and materials stored and generated in hard copy.
We use secure methods to destroy personal information that is no longer required by David Sladden Consulting eg after 12 months. When you advise us that you are no longer looking for work opportunities and do not wish to be registered with us, we will destroy your database record and personal information, unless you advise us otherwise.
